When TH21 is announced, presumably in mid-2027, I will begin work on compiling the seventh version of the Megapack. To that end, I ask for any and all suggestions for additions, fixes, or removals which will improve this next version.

I just wanted to let you know that Touhou 19 isn't updated to the latest version in the pack.

What a blunder. I checked it off my to-do list because I looked for updates for the p2p patch, but it must have slipped my mind to look for updates to the base game because there hasn't been one for a mainline game since, what, 15? Sorry, and thanks for letting me know. I'll add a link to the torrent page.

Is this an appropriate place to request a retranslation of the earlier games? I feel like there's a lot lost with the translation of Yuyuko's wording.
I'm just a child drawing with crayons but:
https://en.touhouwiki.net/wiki/Imperishable_Night/Story/Prologue
"What, you're not even aware of it?
That's why you're ragged about your dullness."
(ぼろくそに言われる borokusoniiu, to speak very ill of, borokuso worthless; shit)
("this thickheadedness is why people speak ill of you(the gardener)")
"this is why people talk shit about you, Youmu" surely that's better than "ragged about your dullness"
and we can pretty it up for yuyuko-speech from there... maybe this is worthless without providing a 100% concrete replacement.
Sorry, maybe I just need to Learn Japanese.
the captcha is also weak with a jisho cursor highlight plugin which maybe you didn't intend...

I appreciate your efforts, but no, this is the wrong place entirely. I just compile pre-existing materials into one pack; all the hard work was done by others. (Technically, I have done OTLs on some individual lines from the HTML manuals, but that's all.)
You can try discussing this, or submitting alternate translations, on the thpatch wiki, though I've heard that they're a bit of a circlejerk and don't like when people correct them.

Regarding the captcha, yes, it is very easy. It's not meant to be a Japanese fluency check or anything, just a novel captcha to filter out bots and the lowest-effort spammers.

Well, what are we going to do about this?

Yes, of course. Apologies. I think this one is more your domain, though it still feels bad as a "fix my problems!" kind of thing.

Touhou 19 and 20 both don't work for me on Windows 11. I'm just wondering if anyone has reported the same.
>>
>>94
First I've heard of it, but I'm not surprised. The warning from thcrap is because of what >>89 pointed out, I actually did ship an old version of 19 instead of updating it. As for 20, I don't know, I don't have a Win11 machine to test things on myself. Is it the game itself, or thcrap? Have you tried updating the latter?
>>
>>97
So I tried launching 19 (which I had patched ala >>89) from an executable on my previous Win10 hard drive as well as the trial for 20. Both of those worked. I also just installed the demo of 20 from Steam which also worked on Win11. Unless thcrap is doing something weird when it detects Win11 I can't imagine this is anyone's fault but my own. I'll have to try doing a clean install and see if that fixes whatever mistake I made.
